Credentialing enrollment and timelines

Understand your credentialing lead times

How long will credentialing take?

Credentialing timelines vary depending on the payer, the specific network you're being enrolled with, and whether you've been credentialed with that payer before.

We typically see faster turnaround with UHC and Aetna, while other payers such as Cigna and BCBS tend to have longer lead times.

Submitting all required documentation for a new payor can take 2+ months. You don't need to do anything on your end while this is in progress. We'll add each new payer to your profile as soon as your in-network status is confirmed.

Please note that some payors face operational delays on their end and can take longer than 6 months to complete credentialing. Our Credentialing Team follows up with payors regularly to help minimize these delays, and we appreciate your patience as we work through extended timelines where they arise.

If I leave Fay, do I keep my enrollment status?

No, your enrollment status won't transfer outside of Fay Nutrition. The enrollment process adds you to Fay's group contracts, which allows you to bill clients' insurance through Fay only.
