Payout essentials

When and how often will I be paid for my appointments?

Payouts are deposited into your account once per month for all of the appointments completed in the prior month. Payout deposits usually occur between the 15th and the 20th of the month. Although insurance companies can take up to 2 to 3 months to pay for services, Fay pays you monthly.

Note: As an example, you would receive your July payout between July 15th and July 20th for all appointments completed in June.

Where can I find my payout history and payout breakdown?

Your payout history and payout breakdown are available in the Payout history tab under Payouts on your Fay sidebar menu. From there, you can also view pending earnings and track when they are deposited into your bank account.

What are my rates?

You can view your rate table by going to the Payouts tab and clicking View your rates at the top-right corner.

Updating your payout information

How do I update my direct deposit details?

To update your direct deposit details, go to the Pay details tab under Payouts on your Fay sidebar menu. Your payout details can be viewed and edited at any time.

Can I receive payments to my LLC instead of my personal account?

Yes, payments from Fay can be directed to a business entity bank account instead of a personal account. To update your payment details for your LLC, go to the Payouts tab of your Fay account and update your Pay details.

Note: Receiving payments into a business entity account may be advantageous from a tax perspective. If you switch from a personal to a business account, Fay will reach out at the end of the year to assist with splitting your tax forms. Fay is not able to provide tax advice. Consult a qualified tax professional to determine what is best for your situation.

Taxes

Where can I find my tax forms?

Tax forms are available in the Documents tab under Payouts on your Fay sidebar menu at the end of the year. If you received payouts from Fay in 2025, your 2025 tax forms will be automatically sent to you via Gusto.

Note: While we are not tax experts and cannot provide tax advice, we do share the Fay Tax Deduction Cheat Sheet and this tax optimization overview to help you optimize your taxes for your private practice. We recommend consulting a qualified tax professional or your accountant with any specific tax questions.
