How do I access Fay Chat?

Fay Chat is a HIPAA-compliant way to communicate and share files securely with your patients. There are two ways to access Fay Chat:

  • Select Chat from your sidebar menu

  • Select Clients from your sidebar menu, select your patient's name, and select Go to Chat under Client Details

How to I set up automated welcome messages?

To set up automated welcome messages in Fay, go to Settings, select Account & Integrations, and toggle on the welcome message option. From there, you can customize the message that will be automatically sent whenever a new patient books an initial consultation with you.

What should I include in my welcome message?

A strong welcome message should be personalized, informative, warm, and enthusiastic. Use your welcome message to set expectations for working together, introduce your approach, and build rapport before your first appointment. A well-crafted welcome message helps reduce cancellations and establishes trust with your patient from the start.

How do I set up nudge messages?

To set up nudge messages, go to Settings, and select Account & Integrations to customize your nudge message. To send a nudge, select Clients from your sidebar menu, select the patient you would like to contact, and send the nudge message as a gentle reminder to schedule their next follow-up appointment.

How do I send a message to multiple patients at once?

To send the same message to multiple patients, select Clients from your sidebar menu and select the patients you would like to send a mass message to. This makes it easy to share reminders, educational handouts, or important updates with a selected group or an entire client list. Mass messaging streamlines communication, reducing the need to message patients individually.

How do I view patient journal entries?

Patient journal entries are viewable directly in Fay Chat once your patient has shared a journaling entry with you.

Will I be notified when my patients sends me a chat message?

Yes, you will receive an email notification for any new chat messages from your patients so you never miss a message.

Patient contact information

How do I find a patient's contact information?

To find a patient's contact information like their email address or phone number, select Clients from your sidebar menu and select your patient's name. Your patient's contact information is available under Client Details.
